Buying a home is a huge investment and it requires a lot of trust. You have to trust your agent, your lender, your inspectors …… There are so many people, businesses and technologies involved in the process. Smart Phones and other technology are driving the direction of Real Estate; but the smartest app (approach) is the agent talking directly with the client to best understand their needs, hopes and dreams.
This may sound “old school”, but I believe there is no substitute for talking. Unless we get to really know our clients, how can we know their “dream home”. How can you trust me if you don’t know that I am listening and understand your requirements?
The Real Estate world is turbulent and confusing, not to mention, joy-filled and anxiety-producing. Many people believe the Real Estate industry is making too much money off of their desire to own a home. They do not always trust their agent or the process. Let’s get back to basics. It starts with direct communication – talking! I need to know what my clients want, why they want it and how they hope I will work to help them get it. My buyers need to discuss my process and how my team works on their behalf. Talking and listening, that’s how to build a relationship, how to build trust.
I just read a blog post from agent Paula Hathaway in Active Rain. In “DIRECT HUMAN INTERACTION”…The Importance of HUMAN Connection In Real Estate, Paula discusses the importance of talking to your client – “face to face”. While the blog is about Real Estate, it really applies to many industries in our technology crazed world. Her are her thought provoking points. “DIRECT HUMAN INTERACTION”…The Importance of HUMAN Connection in real estate.
EVERYBODY WANTS A PIECE OF THE PIE!
MAXIMUM HUMAN INTERACTION IS NOW ESSENTIAL
THE MISSING LINK IS HUMAN UNDERSTANDING
IT’S TIME TO START FORMULATING A NEW APPROACH
I think if you ask my clients, you will find I have a reputation for talking (and listening). I truly believe in taking the time to build trust and understanding. Let’s grab a cup or a glass and chat about your next move, your dreams or the housing market. Real Estate is my favorite subject!
Let’s talk,
